IUCT - Oncopole

A healthcare and research establishment

The Cancer University Institute of Toulouse Oncopole is part of the public healthcare provision for cancer through three institutes: IUCT-Oncopole / IUCT-Rangueil / IUCT-Purpan. The IUCT-Oncopole gathers some of the activities of CHU Toulouse oncology Dept. with all the activities of the Claudius Regaud Institute (ICR). The IUCT-Oncopole is a new way to think cancer healthcare. To the healthcare and public health missions of this property is added a top priority : Innovation and research for the benefit of the patient.

The IUCT Oncopole gathers in one place the expertise and complementary expertise of the midi-Pyrenees structures, public and private, engaged in the treatment and research against cancer. With the Midi-Pyrenees cancer system - Oncomip - each patient is taken care of closer to home, and can benefit from the expertise of the IUC Oncopole whenever necessary. research, training, innovation and clinical investigation projects and multidisciplinary international skills Between CHU and ICR using the IUCT Oncopole that promotes a multidisciplinary and coordinated approach to cancer medicine, surgery, radiotherapy. With the help of all, go further in research and healthcare, and reduce cancer.

2007: a commitment charter is signed by IUCT Oncopole players organized in cooperation with a Health Cluster aims to build the Institute to prepare and initiate the implementation of the structure management, facilitate and monitor the implementation of joint projects in two or more of its members. The new hospital is officially existing.

Since then, CHU Toulouse and Claudius Regaud Institute signed on 1 February 2012, the Convention of GCS with private funds foreshadowing the facility's operation.

The financing of the IUCT Oncopole is fully insured by the French government with 300 million euros. The hotel, modern and innovative, organized its reception, diagnosis, treatment and research on 65,000 m² in a wooded environment.
